Includes two reports. Ann Mitchell documented the Behrend - Sudfeldl - Gerstmann family correspondence contained in the Geoffrey Serle papers in the National Library Manuscript section at MS 6808. The series consists of 140 items presented to Dr Serle in 1976 by Dr Helen Gerstmann, widow of Dr Benno Gerstmann. The papers were included with the Monash papers, given to the National Library by Dr Serle. Similarly, Ms Mitchell has documented 'Family letters from the Monash papers 1857-1912', a selection of early mostly non-English language correspondence from the papers of Sir John Monash, held in the National Library Manuscript Section at MS 1884 Series 2.
